We鈥檙e With You Every Step of the Way
We can鈥檛 wait to welcome you to OHIO this fall! Even on a campus as wonderful as ours, move-in day can sometimes feel overwhelming. Here鈥檚 what you need to know: where to go, when to be there and what to bring.
What to Know Before, During and After Move-In
Before You Arrive: Prepare for Move-In Day
- Check your OHIO email regularly for important move-in updates
- Review your room dimensions and layout
- Log into your Housing Self Service to view your move-in date and time and complete your Vaccination Information Form
- Read the list of what to bring and what not to bring to know what to pack and what to leave at home
- Pack your vehicle with ease of unloading in mind鈥攔emember that not all halls have elevators, so bringing a dolly is highly recommended
- Plan your move-in day: decide who鈥檚 coming to help, and let your driver know they鈥檒l have 30 minutes to unload before moving to guest parking

As You Arrive: Check In
- Head to your residence hall to complete the paperwork and pick up your room keys while your family unloads the car in the 30-minute unloading zone.
- Follow the signs or ask an OHIO staff member or move-in volunteer if you鈥檙e unsure where to go鈥攚e鈥檙e here to help!
After You Arrive: Settle In
- Meet your new roommate(s) and start getting to know each other
- Explore your room, floor, and the rest of your residence hall.
- Invite a roommate or hall neighbor to join you for lunch- reminder the dining halls open on Thursday of arrival week
- Complete your Room Condition Report (RCR) and Roommate Agreement through your
- Unpack your belongings and make your space feel like home
- Join in on New Student Convocation, the Student Involvement Fair, and all our fun Welcome Week events to connect and settle in
