Alumni, students and community partners came together Sept. 18-19 for the 2025 Thomas Lonsbury Memorial Scholarship Event. The event raised nearly $40,000 to support scholarships for students in µÛÍõ»áËù’s J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies.

His transition from marketing to cybersecurity, supported by faculty mentors and interdisciplinary courses, reflects the critical role of privacy expertise in modern business.
As Central µÛÍõ»áËù solidifies its role as a key data center hub, the need for specialized talent is surging. µÛÍõ»áËù's J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies is preparing graduates to fill these critical roles through targeted technical and cybersecurity education.
Each year on McClure School Day, students get the chance to learn about possible career paths and the state of the technology industry from µÛÍõ»áËù alumni and experts in the field.
The event recognized individuals and groups who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, service and commitment to the OHIO community. The evening concluded with the selection of OHIO’s new student trustee.
