Section 7.2 Evaluation and Exit Criteria
Policy No. 7.2.01 Trainee Evaluation and Exit Criteria:
A successful trainee at CPS must meet all requirements and receive satisfactory evaluations.
Procedures:
- Trainees will be evaluated at mid-year and end of the training year by all relevant supervisors, utilizing the appropriate form(s) from their academic department.
- The final evaluation(s) will be sent to their academic department and included in the trainee鈥檚 supervision file.
- CPS supervisors will meet with faculty representatives from the academic department at mid-year and the end of the year to discuss issues of progress and evaluation for the trainee, as needed.
- Trainees must attend a minimum of 80% of their individual supervision sessions.
- Trainees must attend a minimum of 80% of GPS meetings.
- Master鈥檚 in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Practicum trainees must complete 100 hours of on-site service at CPS, with a minimum of 40 hours of direct service, in accordance with accreditation standards.- Unless there is a noted academic or performance deficiency or other unresolvable conflict, it is expected that practicum students will continue at CPS for their internship.
 
- Master鈥檚 in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Internship trainees must complete a minimum of 600 hours of on-site service at CPS, with a minimum of 240 hours of direct service, in accordance with accreditation standards.
- If there are identified concerns, problematic behaviors, or unsatisfactory achievement, Section A8, Grievance and Due Process Guidelines, provides information on how this will be addressed by staff, the process for filing a grievance, and the process for disputing any action or decision made with regards to addressing unsatisfactory or problematic behavior.
Policy No. 7.2.02 Graduate Assistant Evaluation and Exit Criteria:
A successful Graduate Assistant must meet all requirements and receive satisfactory evaluations.
Procedures:
- GAs will be evaluated twice each semester, at midterm and finals, using the appropriate form (either from their academic department or using the CPS evaluation form).
- A copy of all evaluations will be included in the trainees鈥 supervision file.
- The ADT and other supervisory staff will meet with the faculty representative(s) from the academic department at midyear and at the end of the training year to discuss progress and evaluations, as needed.
- If there are identified concerns, problematic behaviors, or unsatisfactory achievement, Section A8, Grievance and Due Process Guidelines, provides information on how this will be addressed by staff, the process for filing a grievance, and the process for disputing any action or decision made with regards to addressing unsatisfactory or problematic behavior.
Policy No. 7.2.03 Health Service Psychology Doctoral Internship Evaluation and Exit Criteria:
Health Service Psychology Doctoral Interns must complete all requirements with satisfactory evaluation to be granted a Certificate of Completion of the 帝王会所 Health Service Psychology Doctoral Internship. Doctoral Psychology Interns will be formally evaluated at midyear and at the completion of their internship year. Evaluations are comprehensive and in accordance with Standards of Accreditation set forth by the APA. Doctoral Psychology Interns and their academic programs will receive copies of their evaluation(s). Doctoral Interns will also provide evaluative feedback on components of their training experiences, including supervision and didactic training components. CPS does not complete additional academic program contracts or evaluations for doctoral interns.
Procedures:
- Interns must attend a minimum of 80% of individual supervision meetings.
- Interns must complete 80% of each of their required seminars (including group, supervision or supervision, outreach, reflection and context, and PIE).
- At least 25% of total hours must be spent in direct clinical service. For a 2000-hour internship, interns must complete 500 hours of direct service (including individual and group client hours, provision of supervision, emergency/drop-in hours, on-call crisis interventions, and outreach presentations as approved by the Outreach Coordinator, in consultation with the TD).
- Interns must co-lead at least two groups over the academic year, one of which must be an interpersonal process group.
- Interns must satisfactorily supervise at least one trainee during fall and spring semesters.
- Interns must satisfactorily complete their Area of Focus as defined by their contract.
- Interns must satisfactorily complete all described responsibilities of the full-time, twelve-month internship, comprised of 2000 hours (with allowable holidays, vacation days, and sick days off). - At midyear, interns are expected to achieve an average evaluative level of 鈥4鈥 (displays mastery of routine tasks, requires ongoing supervision for advanced skills, and spontaneously demonstrates advanced skills) with no score lower than a 鈥3鈥 (requires light supervision of routine tasks, requires training and ongoing supervision for developing advanced tasks) on items that are indicated by an asterisk on the Doctoral Internship Evaluation.
- By the end of internship, interns are expected to achieve an average evaluative level of 鈥5鈥 (displays mastery of routine tasks, often performs at an advanced level, requires periodic supervision for refinement of advanced skills) with no score lower than a 鈥4鈥 on items indicated by an asterisk on the Doctoral Internship Evaluation.
